A wonderful and exceptional work on an extraordinary artist.

The story was developed wonderfully.

Thank you for bringing to light the story of this remarkable man.

Ken Burns couldn't have done a better job.

The Mystery of George Masa chronicles the life of George Masa, a Japanese immigrant whose hiking, exploration and photography was instrumental in the founding of The Great Smoky Mountains National Park and the mapping and building of the Appalachian Trail during the 1920s and 1930s.

But his life and death were filled with mystery, with the passage of time clouding our knowledge and appreciation of George Masa. The Mystery of George Masa recaptures many interesting details about Masa’s life, work, and influential friends, as well as his lasting impact on the nation.

Now his story and an abundance of additional footage is available for purchase on DVD.
